Fitness to Practise inquiries to be held in public are notified on this page.

Any member of the public who wishes to attend the inquiry is requested to email ftp@vci.ie to notify their attendance in advance. Please let us know if you have access requirements and we will be happy to assist your visit.

Please note that inquiries before the Fitness to Practise Committee are held in public unless a successful application is made by the complainant, the VCI registrant or a witness for the hearing to be held in private or partly in private. This can happen at any time before the hearing commences.

In the matter of Part 7 of the Veterinary Practice Act 2005, as amended, an inquiry concerning registered veterinary practitioner Dr Patrick Pius Fleming (Registration No.: 10/84) will be held by the Fitness to Practise Committee of the Veterinary Council of Ireland on 26 and 27 June 2025, commencing at 10:00am. The inquiry will take place in public at the Ormond Meeting rooms, Ormond Building, Ormond Quay Upper, Dublin 7.
